A Charming, DIY Wedding at Big Yellow Barn Near the Bridgers

Aimee + Cassidy

August 29 | Bozeman, Montana

As I loved the engagement session, I could hardly wait for Aimee's and Cassidy's wedding.

My day started with photographing a few details at their awesome venue: the Big Yellow Barn. (As far as Bozeman wedding venues go, the Big Yellow Barn is a great pick if you want the Bridger mountains as a backdrop, not to mention the charming barn that's perfect for a reception.)

When I first arrived, I could tell Aimee had been one busy lady as charming DIY projects and hundreds of flowers overflowed the barn. By the time Aimee returned from the salon, friends and family managed to fill every usable space with yellow and gray splashes of country.

After a brief bridal session and a few photos with friends and family, the moment for which they'd spent the last year planning arrived.

When they saw each other for the first time as her father escorted her up the aisle, neither Aimee nor Cassidy kept dry eyes.

I will not soon forget the party that ensued. The best man kicked it off with a heartfelt toast to Cassidy and the time they'd spent together in the Navy. After the first dance with his new bride, Cassidy also took the flower girl and the best man out for a spin.

Thanks a million, Aimee and Cassidy, for trusting me to photograph the celebration of your love. May your future be filled with all of the love and laughter you shared that night.
